Ok... so perhaps this one is a little bit of a ringer, but part 5 of our Club 18 Under 30 is a bit of a Caskstrength creation. As the Christmas gifting season is now upon us, we thought we'd seize the initiative and build a little bit of an online shop for whisky apparel. Yes folks, whisky-related t-shirts, bags and baby wear at your fingertips!
Since releasing our second Caskstrength & Carry On bottling (BenRiach), which came with a rather fetching red flock printed shopper style bag, we've been getting lots of requests as to whether we'd make more bags - (just 50 were initially made, which sold out in minutes, alongside the BenRiach)
So being the kind sorts that we are, we had a couple of drams and came up with some other fun ideas for clothing alongside the bags.
Whisky Merch (www.whiskymerch.com) is now open for business and has several t-shirt designs, including a rather tasty limited edition tour style t-shirt. We also have some original baby grows and bibs for the little nippers in your life. But these aren't just any sort of designs. Oh no.
Rather than just crudely screen print a bunch of cheap shirts and bags, we've partnered up with uber-cool East London designer, Gerry Buxton of Plane Clothing, who specialises in flock printing.
For those of you who thought flock print was only the preserve of 70's wallpaper... think again. This rather furry, tactile way of printing gives the t-shirts and bags a little more oomph and Plane Clothing are among the very few who print all their apparel this way. Needless to say, they look and feel brilliant...So in keeping with our 'under £30' regime, the range of t-shirts are priced at £20 each with the bags at £9.99 inc. p+p.
